April 11 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Throughout this week, several members of our WHO family have tested positive for COVID-19. In an exercise of caution, we are planning for this Sunday’s family gathering to be held virtually. We’ll meet up at 10am EST to worship together and hear from Mark! Click here to join the livestream on or after 10am on Sunday, April 11.
All are welcome to join us in an intimate and powerful time of worship and ministry. We gather to continue to strengthen each other in the presence of the Lord among us.
Every Sunday is a little different, as we respond to what the Holy Spirit is doing among us. We often start with a good plan, but sometimes it changes as we come into intimacy with the presence of God.
At WHO, Sunday morning has an open-door policy: everyone is welcome. We are the church, which is the body of Christ. Sunday mornings, our “gatherings”, are a prime opportunity for anyone who wants to hear about Jesus, to come into contact with His church, and to be treated with love and kindness. In many ways, the excerpt from The New Colossus, etched on the Statue of Liberty, says it best:
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!
There is no dress code; come as you are.
Updated Notes: As we gather at WHO this Sunday, we continue to honor CDC guidelines by recommending (though not requiring) masks and appropriate social distancing. Kids class will meet, but the nursery will not be staffed. The cafe will remain closed. If you or any in your family are sick, or you’re not comfortable meeting yet, please stay home. Together let’s stay prayerful, considerate and loving of all.
We emphasize deliberate honor and communication for each person, especially before going in for a hug! Our auditorium has space for you to sit at whatever distance is comfortable for you (and feel free to relocate or space out your chairs if you prefer!)
